Sharpshooters has built a heritage of time-tested techniques for billiard care. Built on a legacy of three generations of craftsmen, we are committed to traditional tools and old-world practices which bring new life to
your table and cues.
Every table receives individualized attention from a master technician with over 50-years of experience. Tables are hand leveled to exacting standards. Cloth laid seamlessly on the bed and rails. Table markers are laid with precision and bumpers are replaced with just the right angle to bring the perfect bounce back to your game.
Give Your Table New Life
Each table is carefully stripped to the bare slate. We remove any chalk build-up and hand-level the playing surface. Your table is then carefully re-covered with new cloth of your choosing. Work is typically completed in 4-6 hours.
We proudly offer Simonis (View) and Proline (View) brand cloths.
Restore Playability
Worn or hardened rubber dramatically affects table playability. We bring your rails back to our workshop, remove the old rubber, and replace it bringing bounce back to your game. This typically takes 4-7 days.
Hand Sewn for Durability and Style
Old leather pockets can become brittle and worn. We hand-sew new pockets onto the irons with your choice of a leather shield or fringe. A full set of new pockets are usually available in 5-8 days.
A Task Requiring Expert Care
Disassembling a billiards table is a task which must be done with care. Our technicians remove each part of the table to ensure a flawless reassembly. Pieces are wrapped to protect them during any move, while hardware is meticulously collected for reuse. A knock down can typically be accomplished in about 2 hours.
Ensure Long-Lasting Play
Our high-quality leather cue tips are installed by hand utilizing a robust adhesive. Our technicians also replace the white ferrule below the tip by hand to ensure a solid surface for cue attachment. Finally, we will replace the rubber bumper on each cue stick to protect the cue and your floors.
Custom specialty tips based upon your style of play are available upon request.
In 1945, Gordon Myers, my father, returned from the war and got a job at Brunswick located on Commonwealth Ave. in Boston. There, the art of pool table & cue repair was taught by master craftsmen. But all good things come to an end and Brunswick left the Boston area for good. My dad had an opportunity to stay with them in Harrisburg, PA but, in 1963, he decided to to stay and take up the hammer again to start Gordon Billiard Supply located at Hammond St. in Waltham, MA. Sharpshooters is a continuation of his vision, and his knowledge.
